I bet you’ve heard of EFT Tapping – Emotional Freedom Tapping?  And if you have, do you know how to do it?

In this article, I’ll, give you the basics of Emotional Tapping and describe the basic method.

For starters, EFT was invented by Gary Craig, Emotional Freedom Technique founder.  With your fingertips, you tap, on various energy meridian points on your torso and your face. You do this while thinking about an issue.

Your thoughts and feelings about the event shift.  Let’s look at an example of the EFT tapping technique.

Let’s use an example from your childhood, when you have an upsetting memory. You got in trouble for something you did.  I bet you can still feel the bad feeling of getting caught.

Over the course of your life, you have continued to believe that there is something wrong with you, regardless of whether you are aware that you have that belief.
Here is the way you’d use EFT therapy to clear the disturbing emotions and beliefs you still hold from that event.

You recall the event of getting caught while tapping on various energy meridian points on your head, face and torso.  The most common eight points are used by most EFT practitioners.

While you focus on the memory, and bringing up your feelings about it, you use your fingers to tap on the EFT points.  You can also focus on the belief you took from that event. – that you are a bad person, or that something is wrong with you.

What occurs, is that after you’ve tapped while tuning into your memory, your emotional charge changes.  Your emotion can change from anger to peace.  The emotions you feel can change from resentful, angry, anxious, blaming – to a sense of understanding and calm.  People often go from feeling scared to confident.

As when you learn any worthwhile skill, you’ll start at the beginning and gradually gain expertise.  And, after you see this awesome Youtube EFT video, you can get motivated and learn the basics.
